ILana Tarutina is the founder and CEO of ILE Records. She is a multi-talented producer, songwriter and singer. As an artist herself, ILana is able to connect with and understand the needs of up-and-coming and aspiring recording artists. It is her skill and expertise that makes ILE Records the marquee recording studio for Toronto’s most promising young artists.

ILana studied piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music for many years and then branched out from classical music to a contemporary sound. She spent her days in different recording studios around Toronto, observing and learning from many artists, producers and engineers in the industry. This led to her first job as a freelance producer at KTP Music, an independent record label.

She spent years recording hooks, engineering and developing her skills at producing various genres: from R&B to Hip Hop to Electronic music. Her experience in working with a wide variety of industry professionals has allowed her to develop her own unique sound and style.

ILana is always attending various workshops and courses to expand her knowledge and stay up to date with the newest gear. She has recently finished Dubstep, Sound Design and Mixing courses at Point Blank Music School.
